Brislington return to league action this week as they welcome high-flying Paulton Rovers, looking to bounce back after a disappointing cup exit last Friday night.
Manager Matt Lewton continues to face challenges with availability, once again missing some key players. But fresh energy is arriving, with more young quality coming into the squad and staking a claim for a place in the side.
Paulton arrive in strong form and currently sit 4th in the Premier Division, with six wins already from their opening eleven fixtures. They have shown their quality with recent victories over Bradford Town and Newquay, although a 2–3 defeat to leaders Clevedon Town last week shows they can be got at.
For Brislington, consistency is the aim. Sitting in mid-table, the Foxes will look to take inspiration from their earlier league win over Nailsea and Tickenham, and put in a performance that can test one of the division’s toughest sides.
Many will remember this fixture last season — an entertaining eight-goal thriller — and another lively contest is expected under the Poplar floodlights.
