BRISLINGTON FC WORK PARTY: COMMUNITY, CRAFT, AND CLUB PRIDE

Updated: Jul 28

This past weekend, Brislington FC held a hugely successful Work Party at Ironmould Lane — a full day dedicated to hands-on maintenance, visual upgrades, and celebrating the community spirit that keeps our club alive.

Organised by the club committee and volunteers, the day saw over nine hours of work across the ground, with a focus on practical improvements and laying the groundwork for exciting visual developments ahead of the new season.

Among the key achievements was the extension of the new perimeter around the pitch, a project that's part of a wider strategy to enhance pitch-side sponsorship visibility. With a refreshed approach to hoarding layout and branding, the club is aiming to create a cleaner, more professional look that better serves sponsors while improving the overall matchday experience.

But it wasn’t just about practical graft. Thanks to the ongoing Artist and Designer Residency Programme, the club is also investing in more creative, visual improvements around the ground. From paint interventions to thoughtful design additions, this partnership is helping to reimagine what non-league football spaces can look like — rooted in pride, culture, and community.

It was heartening to see committee members, supporters, and volunteers turning out to get stuck in. This is what makes Brislington FC special — people willing to give their time and energy to build something better.

Off the back of this success, the club is now planning a second Work Party before the end of summer, and we’d love to see even more fans and friends of Bris getting involved. Whether you're handy with a paintbrush or just want to be part of something positive, we’ll have plenty of jobs to do — including supporting some of the planned design interventions from our resident creatives.

We’re determined to make Ironmould Lane a place the local community can be proud of — a ground that reflects the energy and ambition of the club on and off the pitch.

Keep an eye out for the date of the next work day — and come help us make it happen.
