JAY CLEVERLEY APPOINTED FIRST TEAM COACH

We’re delighted to welcome Jay Cleverley to the Brislington FC backroom staff as First Team Coach.

Having grown up around the club and worn the shirt himself, Jay’s return feels like the perfect fit — bringing experience, passion, and plenty of energy to the squad.

Jay Cleverley:

“I’ve been good mates with Matt for a fair few years now and I know how passionate about football he is, so as soon as I had the call off him about potentially getting back into football I couldn’t say no, and the fact it’s with Briz just makes it that much more attractive. Having grown up at Bris watching my old man play and manage for so many years and then years later playing here myself, it just seemed right and I can’t wait to get involved with the lads and see where we can all take it.”

Matt Lewton:

“Delighted to add Jay Cleverley to the backroom staff — Jay comes in as First Team Coach. Jay’s a good mate and been around the local football scene for a long time. He’s played a decent level but more importantly will be infectious around the squad. We talk about characters and he’s another good one for the lads to bounce off in and around the club.”
