For our 26/27 Away Goalkeeper Kit, we headed into the woods.

Created in collaboration with the Friends of Brislington Brook volunteer group, the design celebrates Nightingale Valley and St Anne's Woods — two of Brislington's most important natural spaces — and the people who give their time to care for them.

Designed by our Art Residency team, the kit takes its starting point from the Friends of Brislington Brook logo, with the kingfisher providing a distinctive visual reference to the wildlife found along the Brook as it runs through Brislington.

Other elements of the local landscape are woven into the design, including one of Brislington's most recognisable landmarks: the bricked-up London plane tree.

These references are brought together through a bold, graphic design inspired by the distinctive look of 1990s goalkeeper kits — expressive, colourful and unapologetically retro.

A celebration of Brislington's landscape, its landmarks and the people who give their time to look after them.
