Just three weeks ago, these two sides met in the reverse fixture. That clash proved to be a turning point for the Foxes, who edged out a tight encounter thanks to a late Ben Withey winner. It sparked a mini run for Brislington, who went on to secure back-to-back league victories and restore some confidence after a tricky spell.
For Nailsea, the search for a first win of the season goes on. They’ve had a lengthy 10-day break since their last outing, giving them valuable time to regroup, reset, and prepare specifically for this encounter. That extra preparation will make them a dangerous prospect, as they’ll be keen to turn effort into points.
New boss Matt Lewton has injected plenty of energy and optimism into Brislington since stepping into the dugout, but results haven’t yet matched the intent, with two chastening 4–0 defeats still fresh in the memory. He’ll be without Jordan Scadding tonight through suspension, though there remains the possibility of new faces arriving, with dialogue ongoing behind the scenes.
Another night of entertainment beckons under the lights at Ironmould Lane – make sure you’re here to back the lads.
