This Saturday, the Foxes will be aiming to bounce back from a disappointing midweek result – their third defeat in four league outings. There were, however, encouraging signs for Ash Kington’s side, and they’ll be keen to build on those positives as they welcome Helston Athletic, who face the long near-200-mile journey to the Poplar Stadium.
Bris will be without striker Oaklan Buck due to suspension, which will no doubt make the task measurably harder – and Kington will also be sweating on the fitness of several key players.
The visitors, nicknamed the Blues, arrive in buoyant mood after hitting seven past midweek opponents St Austell. That said, some perspective may be needed – St Austell have conceded seven goals in three of their opening four league fixtures. Helston currently sit 7th in the table, having won three of their four league games to date. For Brislington, attention will be on the three goals Helston conceded in that same match, offering hope that the Foxes can boost their own tally, having worryingly found the net just once in league action so far.
Brislington and Helston’s paths have not crossed for some time, but both sides will be aiming to entertain – whilst crucially picking up valuable points. We’ve been amazed by the support so far this season and hope to see plenty of fans cheering the Foxes on again this Saturday.
